Yesim Nevin

The fatigue, pain in the body and the negative thoughts were the hardest part. Constantly living in fear, not knowing what Long Covid was in the first place, and feeling more pain everyday. After having breathing problems and dealing with heavy chest pain, I got anxiety whenever I couldn't breathe properly which lead to heavy panic attacks. I started searching for help. It help to be to talk about my negative thoughts and show my emotion. I felt a lot better with myself. Physically, it took me 7 months to finally overcome my body pain and for my breathing to normalize.

The thing which gave me hope and helped me recognize my progress was being able to walk/run without my heart rate going sky high. Finally, I got to a place where I was able to work for 4 hours per day and realized my brain fog had lifted away. At that point I knew I was very close to my recovery.
