George, UK

Prior to COVID, George was active—in the gym 5 days/week, running a 5K in under 20 minutes—but at the worst of COVID he struggled to walk 500 meters to the top of his road.  George describes the brain fog, nausea, and fatigue that made Long Covid patients experience, and also the frustrating interactions with doctors who weren’t sure how to treat them.

George discovered the power of pacing and how much energy he could expend before burning out, and he also received acupuncture and saw an osteopath. His dad’s friendled him to discover neuroplasticity as a treatment option. George was initially skeptical, but when scans and bloodwork come back clear yet he still felt like rubbish he was willing to consider that his brain was in a hyperactive state and that his nervous system needed to relax. When discussing his neuroplasticity program, George said, “What had the biggest impact for me was the meditation.”

George used the Gupta Program for his limbic retraining, but there are other ways to retrain the brain. A year into the work, George is back to training in the gym multiple times per week and overall he feels mostly back to where he was before COVID! “It gives you more confidence to really believe you’re fine and your body is okay…We have to actually believe.” You can watch George’s interview here.
